In our continuing efforts to showcase the GOP candidates for the November 2010 elections, I’m pleased to announce that Frank Guinta, Mayor of Manchester, and a candidate for Congress from the 1st District, will be the guest speaker at our September meeting. Mayor Guinta was elected in November 2005 to his first term as Mayor, running on a platform of improving education, increasing public safety and security, revitalizing Manchester’s neighborhoods, promoting fiscal responsibility, and reducing property tax rates.  He won re-election to his current term in November 2007.  Prior to serving as Mayor, Frank served as an Alderman in Manchester, and as a State Representative.  At our meeting, Frank will talk about his record, and his action plans for Washington if elected.  For more information about Mayor Guinta, please see his website:

In addition to the Mayor as our guest speaker, our agenda also includes:

·     A legislative update from our State Representatives in attendance

·     A “special election” update (to fill vacancies in the State Legislature)

·     Discussion and organization of grass roots efforts towards a successful 2010 election season

BARC meetings tend to be somewhat informal, offering the townspeople of Alton, Barnstead, and surrounding towns an opportunity to talk politics, to hear from the candidates, to see "old" friends, and to make new friends.  J.J. Goodwin's restaurant is reasonably priced and offers a casual environment to hear about the Republican Party, to discuss issues and concerns such as the economy, pending legislation, etc., and to hear from your elected officials.
